Please note: We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.
As a dedicated children’s dentist, we want our medical services to remain affordable. That’s why we not only accept most PPO insurance plans, we’re also an in-network dentist for many providers.
Our knowledgeable staff will do our best to make sure services are covered by your dental plan with proper filing. Sometimes, we can also design your child’s treatment plan to satisfy set waiting periods.
We file most claims electronically at no extra charge. However, we’re not responsible for the manner in which your insurance provider processes claims or the benefits they approve. Our role is limited to helping you estimate your share of the treatment costs.
While a PPO plan helps cover many dental products and services, you’ll be responsible for any remaining balances, co-payments, or deductibles at the time of your appointment. We accept debit and credit cards, cash, and checks.
It’s important that you always keep us up to date on any changes to your policy.
What To Know About Dental Insurance Coverage
No dental insurance covers 100% of all procedures. Instead, dental insurance simply helps individuals receive necessary dental care. Many patients acquire insurance under the impression it will cover most of their dental expenses. Unfortunately, most plans only cover 50%-80% of the average total cost of treatment.
Submitting a claim for coverage does not ensure payment by your provider. The allotted amount will only be known once the claim has been processed.
It’s important to note that most dental insurance companies do not cover elective procedures. Some examples of these types of treatments may include teeth whitening and veneers.
Dental Insurance Restrictions
-
While we can estimate your out-of-pocket costs, final coverage is determined by your insurance provider
-
Your exact coverage will be determined after your claim is processed
-
As a third party, we cannot be responsible for your insurance company’s decisions or offered benefits
At Glen Ellyn kiDDS, we’ll make sure your child receives the treatment they need while also doing our best to maximize your dental health care coverage.
More About PPOs
Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plans:

-
Allow you to see out-of-network dentists, though you’ll pay less if you stay in-network
-
Typically don’t require you to choose a primary dentist
-
Often have higher annual maximums (the most your plan will pay per year)
-
May have deductibles you need to meet before coverage kicks in
